Outseer – Security Engineer

As a Security Engineer, you will be responsible for guiding, designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls for the organization's on-prem and cloud infrastructures. You will work closely with R&D, DevOps, IT, operations teams, and other security professionals to ensure that security is integrated into Outseer products and corporate environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the R&D and DevOps teams to provide security expertise across multiple areas of the business.
  • Contribute to the design and deployment of our security toolset.
  • Manage, and maintain security systems over our on-prem and cloud environments including AWS and Azure.
  • Contribute to Security architecture, solutions deployments, oversight of effectiveness and operational execution.
  • Create technical standards, guidelines and documented reference architectures for engineering and IT reference.
  • Contribute to our cloud security strategy, supporting documentation and overall maturity plan.
  • Administer and provide guidance on identity, access, and patch management.
  • Evaluate, analyze, investigate, and provide response to security incidents and alerts.
  • Provide cybersecurity support for project design reviews, technical remediations, third party technical risk reviews and emerging security threats.
  • Provide technical control implementation expertise against security compliance frameworks such as PCI-DSS, PCI-3DS, SOC 2 and ISO 27001
  • Work cross-functionally with IT and business functions to meet project milestones and service levels.
  • Contribute to corporate programs while ensuring security goals and initiatives are successfully implemented.
  • Communicate and translate in non-technical terms why Outseer technical security vision/strategy is critical to our organization.
  • Create and contribute to a collaborative environment across IT, TechOps, Engineering and other business functions to achieve defined business security outcomes.

Desired Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Information Security, or related major; or equivalent job experience
  • 6+ years direct Security Engineering experience in a progressive technology setting, utilizing on-prem environment and cloud (MS Azure and AWS cloud service providers)
  • Provide technical security subject matter expert in multiple areas such as Network Security, Endpoint Security, Identity & Access Management, Secure Software Development Practices and Cloud Security
  • Deploy security tools / services on Cloud environments (AWS and Azure)  
  • Administration of security tools such; Firewalls, NGAV, EDR, SIEM, Intune, NGAV systems, Proxy systems, IPS, DLP, vulnerability scanning tools and others
  • Collaborative, thoughtful, project management for Security action items
