Principal Software Engineer

The Software Engineering team delivers next-generation software application enhancements and new products for a changing world. Key Responsibilities:
Our Software Engineers create Secure S/w solutions.
As a part of the team, you will analyze the customer’s business goals, needs and general business environment to design technical system and provide solutions.

You will:

Contribute to the design, development and architecture of high-quality, complex systems and software/storage environments
Prepare, review and evaluate software/storage specifications for products and systems
Contribute to the development and implementation of test strategies for complex software products and systems/for storage products and systems
Work on public Cloud platforms like Azure and AWS to deploy, configure, monitor, troubleshoot hosted cloud applications.

Essential Requirements:
Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 5-8 years of experience developing object-oriented software with solid understanding of Java server side programming.
• Experience with Java Application Servers (e.g. Tomcat)
• Experience with Relational Databases (e.g. MySQL, MariaDB, SQL Server)
• Linux systems (e.g. SUSE, Ubuntu, Red Hat) including shell scripting
• Believe in concepts of 100% automated testing, push-button deploys, centralized management and logging.
• Experience and knowledge in the following technologies is a plus:
• Testing Frameworks (JUnit, Selenium)
• Container tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
• Possess an understanding of both network and systems security
• Experience with NoSQL Databases (e.g. Azure Cosmos, Cassandra, MongoDB)
• Cloud based development: (e.g. AWS/Azure Development)
• Spring Boot and Spring Framework
• Virtualization
• Performance and scalability Java tuning
• Web application development (e.g. HTML, JavaScript)
• Agile Scrum Development

Desirable Requirements:

Good knowledge of programming languages; operating systems; firmware; BIOS; device drivers; databases; system, network, operating system, and application administration; embedded software/firmware; tools and utilities
Ability to code/debug and guide others to code/debug flexible, scalable and complex programs, using either written or verbal design specifications
Experience with multiple programming languages, databases, operating systems, tools and hardware platforms
Ability to learn new tools, languages and operating systems with some training and on-the-job experience
