NetWitness Director of Information Technology

Our products and incident response services are used within most large enterprises, governments and militaries for incident response and threat hunting. Our Sales Professionals, Sales Engineers and Professional Services Consultants design and deliver solutions for potential and existing customers to enable better visibility, insight and action to prevent and defend against attacks. NetWitness provides the unique ability to provide one single platform with a unified view across all attack surfaces including Network, Logs/SIEM, Endpoint and IoT combined with our AI-based User and Entity Behavioral Analysis (UEBA) and Security, Orchestration, Automation & Response (SOAR) capabilities.

The Director of IT manages the business relationship and is accountable for all tracking of programs, issues, reliability, and the general health of the business applications. Provides technical and consultative leadership for service center solutions opportunities on a range of complex engagements, focused on an industry or service offering. Monitors reliability and any internal issues that appear as a result of the project. Identifies, evaluates and resolves business issues. Mentors and develops team members. Manages budgets, prepares and presents reports. Uses extensive technical breadth to work on abstract problems across all functional areas within IT.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Directs the efforts of others in the achievement of the strategic and operational objectives of the group
  • Manages the hiring, staffing and maintaining of a diverse and effective workforce
  • Responsible for career development/planning, performance and pay discussions of team members
  • Communicates and translates NetWitness vision/strategy to staff
  • Responsible for executing on functional and business goals for the group
  • Addresses problems across functional areas of the business
  • Influences individuals within and outside the IT department
  • Responsible for meeting budgetary goals and objectives
  • Prepares and presents reports to all levels of leadership and staff

Principal Responsibilities

  • Manages multiple functions based on the direction of IT Executives
  • Prepares high level activity and progress reports and presents to Executives
  • Majority of projects involved in or overseeing have global impact
  • Manages lower level IT leaders
  • Strategic collaboration with partners to develop Global IT solutions
  • Provides strategy and direction, capturing short, medium and long term goals and provides a high-level activity
    roadmap, including investment plan and key change programs
  • Develops and implements a strategy for maintaining, and providing services; manages and approves updates to service catalog throughout entire lifecycle
  • Solicits required data, statistics and reports for analysis and to facilitate effective services monitoring and performance
  • Serves as point of escalation (notification) for major Incidents
  • Assists in defining service models and assessing the impact of new services or changes to existing services through the
    service management process
  • Designs key criteria for services evaluation
  • Develops and implements Service
  • Center offerings and capabilities in concert with relevant business units

Skills:

  • Possesses advanced knowledge, skills and abilities required to resolve more complex IT issues
  • Knowledge of planning and forecasting techniques for multiple functional areas within IT
  • Proven ability to manage a department or a group with multiple disciplines
  • Advanced understanding and ability to develop and drive budgeting process
  • Ability to drive accurate and timely decisions. Strategic planning abilities
  • Thorough understanding of financial statement analysis and/or secured financing

Education & Experience:

  • Typically 15+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Typically requires 7+ years diversified leadership, planning, communication, organization and people motivation skill
    (or equivalent experience)
